Last night was amazing!  We did what Adeo Ressi of the Founders Institute would call a 'ghetto launch'.  We had 3 people, 1-friend and 2 friends of her's that I didn't know take part in a really, really basic version of BittyBet.  

They were watching the SF Giants game on TV at my friends house, I was watching at my house. We were on the phone and in a shared browser environment so that I could see what was obvious and what wasn't to them.

Guess what, they loved it!

First, a couple of key things that I heard them say:

• 'It's like Vegas on my couch' - That is the kind of stuff that lasts on a web page for far past it's expiration, but it was pretty sweet to hear.
• 'I love the real-time bets'
• 'We would have turned off this game an hour ago if it wasn't for BittyBet.'

Aside from killer quotes, they offered some terrific feedback on the general game mechanics, too. 

• Questions about the rules stemmed into impromptu surveys between hitters.  'Should it be like this or like this?'
• Questions about the business plan turned in to 'Would you pay…' questions from me.  The great news is that they would pay for some things, but not others.

Most important, I'm glad that our friends and families think that the idea of BittyBet kicks ass.  That is their job.  Last night, we got some more validation from people that we didn't know. We got validation that BittyBet works, that the game is fun and that they would probably pay for some element of it.

Oh, by the way, the Giants won 10 - 2 and are now in first place in the West.
